I've got a ton of loakes (work/wedding/brogues/winter boots built up over a decade), think they are all an F last, and as my foot is quite narrow, I end up sizing down (even by 1.5).
So a 9 in everything else, with a narrow foot, end up with a 7 1/2 or 8, F last.

Took some fairly battered jm westons to the cobbler’s nest in borough this week and they did a wonderful job fixing them up. A full recommendation if anyone needs a cobbler in London

I’ve got a pair of Todd’s chukka boots I want that guy to rebuild on crepe - I like the look of some of his desert boots and creepers etc last time I was there - good to hear a recommendation 👍🏻

Does anyone want these? Shoe trees not included. I love them, I had them resoled, I dyed them a more fetching oxblood-end of brown (with sapphir stuff, has worked perfectly) from their original slightly weird brown.
None of this has meant they fit me properly.
I normally take a 12 or an 11.5, I would say these would fit an 11 or an 11.5 - I can and have worn them for a whole day but end up with squashed toes.
I believe they are handmade. They say ludlow in them, and I think 11.5 (see photos). I don’t know who made them and cannot find anything similar (not looked v hard though) but the writing inside looks pretty much the same as two pairs of church’s I have.
You can see the condition isn’t perfect - back edge is tired, and both inner soles seem to have a nail head showing although I don’t think I ever noticed it with my feet!
What’s a fair price? £40 collected / + postage. Shout if I am wildly out please.

Anyone had work done by any of these and can recommend or otherwise?
Westmoreland Leather

The Boot Repair Co.quotes are all much the same for a re-sole and damage repair.

What kind of shoes / boots?
Think shoe-repairs.co.uk has been tried and tested upthread, with good reviews

Have you checked with https://www.redwinglondon.com/ if they recommend someone?

Yeah they have a link to shoe-repair.co.uk, so I'll just go with them if there's no horror stories on here.

Their instagram account used to have some decent transformation posts (https://www.instagram.com/originalcobblers/) of bringing Red Wings back from the dead.
I'll be sending my Moc Toes off when the soles give up.

Thanks for the earlier recommendations on suede derbys. Picked these up from Walk London in the end.

anyone know a good alternative to these Trickers derbys which don't cost £400?

For a chunky look? Solovair Gibsons? Or whatever the Sanders military Derbies are called?
(disclaimer - never tried Sanders formal shoes, but I like their chukkas)
Edit - I quite like those Trickers also

Have had Sanders Japan line. Still made in their standard factory. Good, but not on the same level as Tricker's IMO and not worth the relatively small cost saving.

Fair enough. Nice to know.
Just had a look and you can get those NPS Blair Derbies direct with leather soles also (same £££):

They usually end up in their seasonal sale for <£300 if I remember correctly. I’ve got two pairs on permanent rotation, first ones from their factory store and other on sale. They’ve got 8 and 12 years on the clock and been resoled once. Well worth their money.
Saw them for £350 shipped from JP earlier

I was given some tickets to the races and so decided the wardrobe needed smartening up accordingly.
Loakes Chester Brogues. Bought from the shop so paid full price but did get feet measured and got to check they fitted.
As my last two pairs of proper shoes were churches I figure worth the extra to ensure a good fit.
No time to break them in before a full day in them so fingers crossed
