Our mates have just finished their place. They've got a 5yo and 7yo. Kids have their own play room and sitting room. Main sitting room is for adults. The kids can go in there, but there are no toys or kids TV allowed.
Seems like luxury to me. But then in an ideal world I'd always chose a separate dining room too - which nowadays is tantamount to wanting an outside toilet. So maybe I'm old fashioned.
Might be naive, but in todays lifestyle it seems like a good way of encouraging your kids to stay on the main living floor rather than spending all their time in their rooms.
Not really - I want one room in my gaff that my kids and dickhead cats can’t royally fuck up. We don’t need the space for the kids and there’s no good place for a big ass tv in there so it works well as a kind of toy and cat hair free space that I get to use for an average of two minutes a week.
