I started off with a Herschel 700w towel rail heater after the old oil filled electric towel rail died.
The build quality seems very good and the mounting bracket for the panel made fitting it really easy. Just line up the mounting bracket and screw it down. Locate panel on the bracket. Their mains powered controller is a pain, as it defaults to switched off after power has been cut to it. Podge the buttons or use the smartlife app to restore the set timings/temperatures.
Then I tried a Surya 700w mirrored panel and whilst less pricy, the mounting system relies on you getting 4 screws square and level in the wall then hooking the panel directly onto them... there's no adjustment wiggle room and it's a crap design but its ok once it's up. This is wired to a klima wi-fi digital-thermostat which has worked great.
4 time periods allow decent control to switch temperature as needed and you can feel the heat from the panel within 10 minutes of it switching on.
Next order was 4 Surya NXT picture panels.
2x 900W panels for the living room and 2x 350W panels for top and bottom of the hall.
Pros.
They are relatively inexpensive
look quite good
Cons.
The panels beep when they power on, so definitely not bedroom friendly.
One of the 900w panels went bang when it first powered on. A week before Christmas and impending covid lock down was agreed to be poor timing to return it, so I held onto it for a while and didn't have any problems when I eventually asked to send it back and get a replacement. Other reviews have had tails of woe from customer service
Same 4 screw mounting.
I'm planning to fit more in the second bedroom and kitchen, which will probably be Herschel mirror panels and Klima controls.
