  • Same happened to my cargo bibs just waay more stitching got rubbed off. In comparison my old brevet bibs hold just fine after long years of use. I've been offered either a replacement or keeping them and having a 40% of what i've paid for them as rapha voucher. Chose the latter as I believe (and hope) it's not a structural stitching and with proper repair it will be just fine.

  • They refunded me the entire cost of my core cargo bibs recently even though they were 50-50 if it was a manufacturing defect or a problem with my saddle. I think a mix of both as the other shorts I've been wearing are nowhere near as badly affected. The no-quibble refund was good tho so not complaining

  • Anyone have the technical trousers? Would you recommend?

  • Bought these in the Bicester Village Store about three years ago, originally as a duplicate of a white pair for TCR, incase something happened before the start.
The staff at Bicester were amazingly helpful and offered to further reduced them to some damage.
Anyway I ended up wearing these as preferred the white and presumed they’d get destroyed on TCR and being reflective seemed like a added bonus. They’ve become my go to’s for just about everything. Did my Everesting in them last year. They’ve been amazing and I’ve found them extremely comfortable. Hope the white ones do as good a job!
So feeling oddly sentimental about binning them but think they’ve paid more than their dues.
    RIP yellow climbers.

  • Shoo-goo, a marker pen and some babywipes and they'll be as good as new.

  • Sadly they’ve been glued twice. Main issue is it’s my unclipping foot.

  • Just swap feet. Another 3 years right there.

  • have you tried buffing them

  • Almost froze to death while camping last weekend while others slept like babies and flexed their down jackets and sleeping bags later on.

Then I remembered my favourite brand has a packable down jacket yet it seems it's moved to archive and only smallest sizes remain. Did they discontinue it or what because the pricing is quite competitive so it mustn't make loads of money.

On the other hand I see that in upcoming stuff there seems to be a female version down jacket so maybe not?

Anyway, I wonder if it's any good for bike touring and every day use?

  • Edit: deleted as factually incorrect.

  • To be honest the down isn't brillaint quality

    Is there anything behind this?
North Face and Patagonia both use the same down. It's 900 fill and goose rather than cheaper duck and is "ethically sourced" and traceable whatever that means (I don't buy animal products myself)

  • Source? Last time I read it was 750 rapha used.

Edit. Must have changed, I rescind my comment. Apologies for the mistake.

Seems now 905, weirdly not listed on their site but a follow through link. https://www.trackmydown.com/index.html?lot=18180317979

  • Straight outta China?

  • Arent they all?

  • Ha. Probably.

  • Very much rate these.

  • I have this and love it. Only problem is it’s now too big following trend bucking weight loss during the recent unpleasantness.

Must have last time I listened to the down song well before Rapha existed.

  • Has anyone used the hip pack? I need a bigger bum bag/ mini messenger thing for work. I've also got a Rapha voucher burning a hole in my pocket and don't really need any more kit at the minute.

  • Is the £100 classic rain jacket any good? I want something I can wear for 2-3 hour rides over layers in autumn, winter, spring. Have a soft shell already but some days if it’s raining the whole time that doesn’t cut it.

  • Did Rapha stop making the original Classic bib shorts, bring in the Classic II shorts, then retire them to the Archive store and bring back the Classic? Or have they always both been available?
