  • Sorry, not good at photographing my bikes. Here it is on an impromptu overnighter (2016 ish). Horribly loaded, front rack was for some gear I was borrowing and yet to collect (after this trip I bought frame bags etc... and ditched the panniers and racks). Those mudguards were awful and didn't last long. The front rack didn't stay either. I've never been able to fit the original front rack since I got rid of cantis. I should put them back really. For looks rather than braking performance. I also swapped the front wheel for an SP Dynamo. Couldn't get another Open 4 CD rim so its a bit of a mismatch at present (Black Open Pro).

Here it is with most of the rest of my bikes (and 2 of my wife's bikes) when we last moved house (non-driveside fail).
Right to left: Raleigh Record Sprint (pub bike, although I have toured and ridden a sportive on it), Onza Trials thing, Salsa Casseroll, Pearson Compass (wife's bike), Madone, GT Avalanche, Singular Swift, Some Alu MTB thing (26" pub bike), Identiti Persona (wife's bike)

Not shown: Brompton, Merc (Brompton Clone), BMX, Surly Ogre, Ugly horrible ebike

  • Fantastic write up!

Its great when a bike has mismatched parts because it's actually being ridden and not just looked at all day!!

A real good looking bike and a real good household of bikes too...

I've just bought a dawes folder shopping bike is 9/10 condition and all original bar grips and tyres.... However I forgot to tighten the drive side cotter pin and it fell off on the ride home...

But that bike brings the house hold to 8...

Time for a bigger shed! Or house. Or less bikes.... But let's face it, that's not gonna happen.

Edit: I'd still really love one in a 56 if anyone has one
