Read a piece on him today that highlighted he was a government whip and was not terrible at Defense before the Huawei leak which suggests he has the people skills required, but he 100% did not give a fuck about education brief in any way shape or form and was only interested in getting Tory MPs on board Team Gavin.

There is a greater problem here.
As long as he keeps his constituency party happy, the failure that is Gavin Williamson could remain a Tory backbench MP for a further 30 or 40 years.
There really does need to be a mechanism where proven failures are ushered out of Parliament.
