@russmeyer got one of those posts on the way, thank you! @Jonny69 am I allowed to sell the Thomson on the classifieds or is that just shifting the problem elsewhere and it should be melted down instead?

Lol, won’t you get more for it on eBay, even after fees? I know we have a non-written agreement to keep good parts on here, but I’m sure people will make an exception since it’s for a good cause!

Replaced the post with the kalloy and was going to get a photo of it today then nearly ended up in the sea this morning when the lockring thread sheared on my rear miche hub on my way down the hill into the village.. Now after a rear wheel to match this front, or a wheelset, preferably double fixed and sealed bearings, not looking to break the bank, anyone got anything kicking around?

So, the bank is a little broken.. but these are exactly what I was after, high flange double fixed phils to rigida dp18. Come with 28c gravelkings, excited to see if they clear the frame..

So I’ve now fitted the straight setback kalloy post with the logos rubbed off thanks to @russmeyer and much prefer it to the bendy Thomson number, @Jonny69 haha, I’m going to have to sell that shortly and wanted to give you first dibs..?
Took my silver bar ends off to paint them black and lost them somewhere. Have had to go with these gin bottle lids for now but does anyone have black bar ends that will fit skinny nitto bars??
New wheels arrived and 28c gravelkings fit front and rear which is good news! Had to ditch one already unfortunately as there was pretty nasty cut through one when they came.. loving these rims on the bike and the high flange hubs are lovely and smooth. Had a 19t Phil cog in the parts bin and thought 47x19 would be a bit spinny so swapped the sugino mighty ring it came with to a 52t campy I took off the rossin a while back.
Found a wee pink Phil sticker that sits in all stealth like on the top tube as well

That’s fantastic, really really nice. Your threads are spot on (possibly biased as I’m Scottish) and love all the pics. T

What chain is this? Looks a bit odd. Sorry if you’ve already said.

Pretty sure those are pumpkin seeds.

@russmeyer @croft is exactly right, met an old lady here at the village fete who told me if I left the seeds outside in a bowl of porridge and whisky on the shortest night they would become the strongest chain on the island, and she didn’t disappoint! Well worth my last milking cow!
Nah, they’re called shimano olive or think they might have been better known as “bean” chains. Can’t remember where I first found them or if it came on a bike I bought through here at first. Just a nice wee bit of sparkle and difference for this one I reckon?
@Dexter @tomsvoboda thanks so much, I’m really chuffed with these and will feel less bad out in the wet on these than on the profile racing hub wheelset it came with, want to keep that set nice.
Haha @Jonny69 completely agree a straight post looks better, now to get the bendy masterpiece off my steamroller too. Having not ridden that in a while I do feel a little far back now when I am riding it and think I might swap out for a straight elite to keep that looking a little tidier too.

Best version yet, looks mega (bike and landscape).

Your threads are spot on
You and @Creek_Tebsin providing some much needed non wanker dad/do it all bike project relief.

Thanks so much, really chuffed with how it’s come along! I’ve been so boring for ages that it’s nice to have a couple interesting projects going on.
Found an old set of black bar ends and just cut back the plastic gripper bits that go in the bar to make them fit. Makes the front look a little tidier and stops the bars looking overly long too I reckon.

Under floor heating install going well I see

Tis indeed :) they got a really good warm day for it so the pipes were nice and bendy and went down really well. They’ve kept their pressure since they went in on Friday so no wee holes either
Cleaned this up a wee bit and rewrapped the bars because I’d done it quickly and excitedly last time trying the pink out. Ordered some 28c rubino pros for it hoping they’ll clear the frame. Always got on with them, never had much trouble with punctures and take a while to “dae a skid” through

Never selling this frame but if I ever do I’m listing it with a top tube length of around 2.4 ferries.
The 28c rubino pros arrived and fit no bother, could almost fit larger on the back but happy with this and don’t have the money for experimenting right now unfortunately..

Rizla paper clearance!

Getting there.. just chuffed the frame will clear a 28, hoping to take a little harshness off the roads up here more than anything

2.4 ferries
Anything but metric I see...
On a more serious note, the bike looks proper fantastic!
Need the cash for one of those, but think the gold and black might throw it off? Got a silver Izumi track so may swap that out.
@russmeyer great shout, you’re a legend, thank you!
