  • 1 gram per kg of bodyweight and 1.2 as you get older is another figure I heard. Then 1.4-1.6 when cutting.

    Bodybuilding is full of steroids... Ordinary folk can't absorb it.

    In my powerlifting days I did go up to 2 per kg but after a while i swapped some for carbs and just ate a bit more. When cutting 2 per kg just left me with no food choices so I ate a little less protein but ate fats / carbs.

    The 0.8 per kg from the government is on the low side though.

    Still at the house renovation, but actually want to go back to the gym now. It's not really exercise, lots of walking and standing but no fun like lugging weights :)
