If you’re gonna spend most of your time using headphones, buy some better headphones. I have a love hate relationship with Grado, and currently have some of the new SR80X’s. They sound great but man, I don’t believe anyone on the planet considers these to be comfortable. There are better options out there. Unfortunately a lot of the spend on Grado’s goes to being MiUSA… but they’re not well made. So it’s a bit of a faux pas.

New house and a room solely for music. Downside, most of the time i’ll be listening to music via headphones.
Now the focus is on headphones, I’m considering #buyer on some new stuff to improve the setup. Headphones, I prefer Grado SR-60 (having also tried AKG and Audio-Technica). Using either a Arcam Alpha 3 or a cheap ‘tube’ headphone amp (Sabaj). Source is either a Rega Planar 2 or Apple Airport Express for streaming.
Worth spending on some of more expensive Grado headphones, another headphone amplifier or a cartridge for the Rega (currently with a conical stylus)?
