Simplex d/t band-on levers

  • Anyone looking for something like these?
    Complete, clean, levers are some kind of composite that was black but has faded to a nice dark grey. Very light.

  • What size is the clamp please?

  • Came off a Steel frame Falcon, so I guess fairly standard. Here’s the Venier shot:

  • I beleive these may be cycling’s first ever carbon fibre component ever made. I’m not sure why I think I know this, someone else please feel free to correct me.

    Amazing if true re: first ever! I guess carbon didn’t even need to be particularly strong there in a lever-blade thingy.

  • I think they are zytal or delrin plastic, most likely delrin the plastic they made their rear mechs out of.

  • Pretty sure they’re plastique-fantastique but I did go and double check ;)

  • definitely not carbon made, just the basic simplex delrin
