Supposedly it's some sort of pre-planned change to match Perez according to the pre-race info. You'd have thought given he had a strong chance of pole and a win they'd want to let him go with it rather than throwing points away in the constructors. As you said though, might just be getting him out of the way of Hamilton... except now that's all ballsed up.
Definitely had some flashbacks of 2009 there with Hamilton getting an armful of opposite-lock out of the first Lesmo!
Also, will be interesting if this is the start of a bit of a mini-resurgence of Bottas now that he's not destined to be a no.2 anymore. Looking forward to the response to the next "Valtteri, it's James".
