dont think that guy would use or needs or wants a bicycle...

An elegant solution to the problem of MTB pedals on a road bike, which of course one must never do because it's ugly
-

That's just bolting on some used cleats for shits and giggles in the front stud holes.
I mean, cross is coming...

Two guys roll up - the second looking really awkward on his bike. First guy says "can you help my buddy out here? He's tired of pedaling on his tip-toes, and is wondering if there's a better way you can mount his cleats!" I say "alright, let me see your shoes", at which point he takes them off and hands them to me. I must have stared for two minutes straight - not uttering a word - fully expecting cosmic black holes to open up on the bottoms of those kicks.

Fake, everything is grotty but the road cleat bolts. Or at least I hope it is

Ehh, it just looks like half the Surlys built by Bluelug etc…
Perhaps I’ve been desensitized, but it’s kinda boring, hardly anti.
-
• #46864
Haven’t checked lately but I think Bluelug builds are generally a little less screaming than that, the colours are more to my taste anyway.

I'd have made the tubes straight, but I'm not sure that curves alone qualify an otherwise unremarkable 36er for anti
-

The curves and the take on the fork make it look like it’s been sat beside the radiator a bit long.
The low seattube as well, given the curved (or is it just bent?) seatpost meaning that the sale can’t get slammed is also, IMO, a questionable choice. Not only from an aesthetic pov but also due the sharp angle the angle make at the dropouts, an engineering one. Maybe. I’m not an engineer but it just looks a bit dodgy to me.

it just looks a bit dodgy
It looks weird because you're not used to seeing 36ers, and the curves are mostly unnecessary. The engineering may not be Dymaxion, but it's no worse than millions of mass produced bikes. I just don't think that adds up to anti

Straight down tube and that thing's fine.

It is an 80cc bicycle engine kit one can find new on eBay for £75 mated to an old bike. That might be fun project to build, but I would rather explore e-bike conversions that are legal to ride on the road.
Yeah, certainly less likely to lose your cock and balls there.

Courtesy of insta. I mean, it's a'pedal assist' bike, so maybe it could be worse, but it looks like it's bloody expensive, so I feel it qualifies...

every 36er can just fuck right off.

Whoever did that Cannondale probably thinks that having the stem line up with the hoods is "neat".

The horror.
Oh haha yes, I see the flag. A Glazer maybe?
Which has lead me to discover the story of an American lawyer buying Diana's bike 😂
