I have just about enough space on the dropout to be able to flip the rear wheel mid-ride. But, to be honest, I normally swap between two different length chains as the axle sits better in the dropout, especially if I'm riding something like the Reiver where I know I won't be flipping the wheel.

With 650b x 43? I'm building something new with 700x43 GK SK tires and haven't done fixed gearing for a while.. thinking 17t cog with the 40t front will be ok for horsing around on local rolling trails and errands.

Er nevermind, Hydra is 700 only so that gives some idea. Frame size threw me off :)
