Edinburgh tourist route

  • Going to be in Edinburgh soon. Thinking of bringing my bike, not sure if I'll have time but does anyone have a recommendation for a route? Shorter is fine and preferably around the city itself rather than out in the wilds, if it goes past some nice coffee places so much the better.

  • It's literally my job but for quite a bit of money as a guided tour with all the factuals etc

Can post a strava link to a good route tho.

Check out my activity on Strava: https://strava.app.link/qQOtlF7nyib

Add the loop up and around Arthur's Seat and that's a good'un. The Old Town isn't overly bike friendly especially with lots of punters about.

  • Ah much appreciated. That looks great!

  • Thanks so much, an absolutely amazing route. I got coffee and William & Johnstone s in Leith and ended with sriracha mayo frites from Frites. Have tipped the forum a couple pounds in thank you.

  • Ah nice, you got the weather for it too. I was about with a couple from down south, may well have crossed paths :)
