  • You are fucking dead to me for such a cardinal gramatical error.

@tbc It took that long to correct him.

  • The black and silver N reg plate grates....If they had gone little italian style plates and black and white so that would suit.

    Am I being pathetic?

  • Hope that you whistled questi giorni tune when you saw the muire?

  • Or this...

Would love to recreate that drive, I would even start smoking again.....

  • When I was a kid, my slightly touched neighbour (bad MC crash) had a large collection of 70s Italian bikes in his shed. Still curious as to what they were and whether they are still rotting in that shed.

Re no pics.. A red muira with gold wheels does that to a man..

Was there a Fiat Dino coupe there? For me the endgame of Sunday nice day motoring.

  • Two Fiat Dino , coupe and spider. Lots of Ferrari both modern and historic. Lots of 70's stuff of all sorts ( my fave) Loads of Alfa which is what I went to see ( obviously , my silver GTV in one of the pics)
The Miura is still the draw for me.
Epic day , I advise every petrol head to visit .

  • Wife and kids had a flat 15mi away, so borrowed the MIL's car, taking a spare wheel with me. It was only once i got home that I remembered I didn't actually tighten up the wheel nuts past finger tight 🤠

  • Can you read the bottom of the plate?

  • Some (most?) councils in London only allow residents on-street parking permits for one car per household. It’s fine if you have off-street parking or a garage, though.

I wish Waltham Forest did this, our next door neighbours have five.

Ironically they're the ones always complaining about the parking.

  • I’m currently seeing how many cars I can pass in one move on a Scottish A road.

You probably shouldn't post and drive, especially when overtaking.

  • I like how someone has been overwhelmed by the beauty of the green Miura and had to have a good cry over the bonnet. I can't blame them, there is no better looking car IMO.

  • Check out wheeler dealers France on RMC as they are doing a Honda nsx. Engine out cambelt change is interesting.

Shows them doing a caster camber checks

  • The Mirua (note Mirua not Muira, but I always want to write Muira too) is named after a line of fighting bulls bred at the Ganadería Miura which is a noun so really the plural would be, er, Miuras?

  • Ironically they're the ones always complaining about the parking.

Just like my neighbour with four cars parked outside his place... He's blind to it...

  • Now you've done it.

  • I am looking to restore the headlights on my beloved 2006 Honda CR-V, a future classic without doubt. Are there any ultimate how to guides or things to avoid? My brother made a right mess of his attempt when he tried it with toothpaste and sanding paper on his car

  • finally got round to starting driving lessons now I am getting old - opted for automatic only given EVs are all automatic and there's more automatics available nowadays. seems like automatic just does away with a lot of the faff that makes driving more difficult than it really has to be (hill starts, slow rolling clutch control, appropriate gear selection, clutch control in general etc).

understand why ppl might want the Real Feel and 'accuracy' of a manual transmission but I'm really just interested in getting from A-to-B and going hillwalks...

was driving within 10 mins of my first lesson which was p.cool - felt like a big dodgem though worried my instructor might be a bit cavalier

  • I used this before, worked great and pretty foolproof.

Deal: 3M 39073 Headlight Lens Restoration Kit to Restore Dull/Faded/Discoloured Headlights https://smile.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0078IHJ1K/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_dl_WBNWZ61WYSY6J3V1VZ2X?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

    *You need a drill

  • The main benefit for manual these days is really for hiring cars which tend to be easier to find/cheaper than auto, esp in europe.

  • that's good to know thanks. hopefully by the time I'm at the stage where I'm confident enough to drive abroad, that might be less of an issue. otherwise, my signif other can drive stick so she can be DD

  • How was booking your practical? Have a couple of mates who are trying to get their licenses and it seems to be a real nightmare. One couldn't find anything until a few months into next year.

  • should I have booked this already ?!

I gather booking practicals and theories is proving pretty difficult right now (even up here in the provinces) - probably should just book both. would give me something to aim for I guess

  • You can't book the practical until you've passed the theory. I'd say get that done Asap. But hopefully since you're not in London getting either/both will be a bit less of a problem!

  • Outback is currently averaging 15L/100km, I did quickly convert that, then promptly decided to forget what is was.
