Use the pedestrian/cycle crossing by Deptford Bridge DLR then there's a bike path that runs past Lewisham College and down to The Birds Nest. Unfortunately the bike path stops at this point (and there's also loads of major building work going on) so the last stretch on Deptford Church Street from the roundabout to Wavelengths is fairly unpleasant.
You could either walk this short section on the pavement or do a loop of Reginald Road / Deptford High Street / Giffin St to bypass it. The market is on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, if you're travelling in the morning or afternoon on these days you'll need to walk the section on the High St.

How to get to deptford wavelengths from SE26?
The river path is what I'll use, but how do you negotiate the big fuck off road (new cross road) between the end of the path and my destination?
