Not worth saving a few quid on a generic bit of Chinese maple; there are dozens of decent independent UK skate brands you could support by buying it from them. If you’re in London, Slam City is a good choice and you can stand on a board to see if it’s right. Online, https://www.paradeworld.com/uk/c/skateboards/decks/ has hunners.

I noticed these on eBay a while back when I was contemplating a cheap cruiser setup - some nice retro shapes if that's your bag, decent reviews & apparently 100% Canadian maple

Big aye skateboards, Leytonstone, London. Can glue and press your own deck and then do the graphics. Can’t get much better quality control than that.
