Yep. Mask wearing way higher on the Metro to South Shields than the Victoria Line this morning (to be fair to Gateshead @efb ).
LNER train from KX at 8 this morning really not good but there was some big rugby match on in Newcastle today, trip back has been fine.
Unfortunately it makes me glad I have a car. Can't wait to be able to ride again.

anecdotal indeed.
Lots of mask wearer, lots of non mask wearer, never the same everyday (currently commute on buses and train everyday due to broken wrist)

Really?
-
• #23381
Nope, at least I can't find any confirmation (or even rumours)
-
• #23382
My brief Google said the same.

Stay safe people.

The only good thing about Joe Rogan is when someone tells you how great his podcast is and how insightful he is, you have could probably have fair guess about the rest of their opinions.
-
• #23385
It’s a meme.
-
• #23386
Indeed.
-
• #23387
I'd say commuter times appear to have more mask wearing. Rush hour is 80% or so, weekends are under 50% in my experience.
-
• #23388
You think I would like Joe Rogan?
-
• #23389
This feels like a trick question...
-
• #23390
That's what I thought too but it was closer to 20% at 7ish this morning between Lewisham and Waterloo.

This mask talk makes me more apprehensive about returning to UK this weekend. I'm a habitual mask wearer now, as its the law here, and not looking forward to the UKs lack stance on all things sensible.
-
• #23392
Still the law in Scotland to wear masks indoors in public places (well shops, restaurants etc at least).

Just catching up in what's happening with Covid in other parts of the world. I haven't looked in months.
666,222 Americans dead so far. And increasing by 1500 per day, and that rate seems to be on the up too. Just wow.
-
• #23394
More Americans have died of Covid than died in the civil war.
-
• #23395
Sadly South of the border in England.
-
• #23396
More Americans have died of Covid than died in the civil war.
Over 1m people died in the civil war, across both sides.
Also, that was 3.3% of the total population.650k dead now is 0.2% of the population...
-
• #23397
They don't stop you wearing them. I still wear mine.
-
• #23398
Over 1m people died in the civil war
Are you sure you aren't confusing casualties and deaths? I know that a few historians have claimed that the death toll was closer to 1,000,000 but most seem to use the ~620k figure.

My parents just went back after a few months in France and some weeks here in Luxembourg and are finding it a bit challenging. My mum has gone from being happy to go out to staying home unless they’re going out to the countryside.

Suggest Autumn could be interesting once more.
Randox day 2 return tests results came in quickly; swabbed at 10am yesterday then dropped off at their mobile lab at Southwark Cathedral by 11am and emailed the results this AM about 10.30
