• Cool, thanks for adding to the spreadsheet, I will send an email tomorrow with what we have so far to LB for a quote, asking to price each item as a standalone and then price them all as a bulk or tell us what discount they can apply per rim/wheel.

Thanks also for the messages, some of you kindly offered to use their premises for delivery address, which is great, was confident this could be the case.

I would suggest to first gather the interest, get the numbers and confirm the convenience of the bulk order, then move it to a separate group DM, so that we can work out this level of detail (personal info, delivery, payment and so on). This far I would only say that people ordering should at the very least be in UK, preferably in London and able to collect or willing to arrange courier pick up, requiring almost no extra faff for whoever takes care of receiving the whole order.

Also, I might sound assertive, but I have never done this before, just keen to lead it this far to see it happen. So, if anyone that perhaps was part of previous bulk orders has a lesson learnt, please share it.

Lastly, apologies to anyone not interested in buying from LB for momentarily taking over this thread.

  • I organised the last 30+ rim order and l have the below comments.

    • Having google sheets rather than excel would have been better so that people could edit their requirements rather than me having to do so (you've already done this)
    • Once you've reached the 30 rim threshold (which didn't need to all be Pro when we ordered) then set a hard deadline for changes and edits and then lock the sheet
    • Send to LB and get all the pricing and shipping confirmed, if doing TPD then work out the landed cost of everyones portion of the order. Work out TPD contribution proportionally based on individual wheelset value.
    • Then get everyone to confirm they're still in once costs have been finalised.
    • I didn't ask but you could ask Lightbicycle if they can send people individual PayPal invoices for the group order (they might). As I never explored the split invoice option everyone paid me for their portion of the order, we kept a running tally of who'd paid. Once I had all the money I paid LB. I then shared order status tracking links and shipping tracking in due course. People either collected from my address, or I dropped off a few sets with Martin (Arkane) and others sorted couriers.
  • Friend of mine could be interested, I'll contact you if it's a go.
