Is there a bit of oil/muck on the surface of the dropouts? Give em a good clean and maybe check the knurling on the qr isn’t worn away?
Then just throw the halo skewer away, buy a shimano and never worry about it again....

I gave the knurling and the dropouts a good clean, by Shimano QR, you mean the ones with a separate arm to tighten rather than the integrated Halo one that tensions as you fold it over?
Hoping someone has an answer as this is driving me mad.
I have a surly ogre with horizontal dropouts and the rear wheel will not stay in place in the dropouts. I'm currently running a Halo QR skewer as I have in the past with no issue.
What do I need to do to put the power down without the wheel going off on its own?
