"Expect spectacular coastal scenery" - I am in for this reason alone.

230km 4200m - so wont be easy but rewarding - lots of nice camping spots on the way. The beaches in the area are arguably some of the best the UK has.

I've pre ordered the guide but I don't think I'll have a go until next spring at the earliest.

I’m doing it one go the weekend after. It’s only 230k so even if the terrain is tough it won’t be that hard.

question; how does Cycling UK make money out of this?

I think mostly from selling the guide book.

But they're a charity so don't really have to make money presumably?

Route just dropped.

I know nothing about the area so... Looks cool? I guess the influencers who have already ridden the route will release some pieces soon.

236km 2984m according to RWGPS.

three week holiday starts in a week. tempted.

Three weeks is probably the ideal amount of time to ride it.

Seems a bit more technical and involved than KAW.

I'm going to perhaps have a go next spring.

It uses a a few footpaths that they are arguing that they are historical right of ways. This article is really interesting.

His preview of the KAW was awful, but it was good to see the terrain.

he does sound the type of person you dont want to be sat next too for any length of time anywhere.

Has anyone received their guide book yet? Thought I pre ordered one but not seen anything in the post.

Thinking of targeting September/August next year. Still need to rebuild my bike after king Alfred way mud destroyed all the moving parts.

Did the WKW over a leisurely four days. Was great although gooes without saying that Cornwall is not flat.

Wild camped all but one night with no problems. Main issue was the blocking of right of ways a couple of time. First time saw us going up and over on the coastal path around Kennack Sands which meant some carrying up steps and then bush bashing through some gorse/brambles. The other time meant some travelling through a rather underused bridle way with the attendant nettle stings.

Would definitely recommend, definitely more a gravel/bikepacking route rather than tourer with panniers

Looks great. I have family in Cornwall, will have to add this to the list.

Reckon 2 days would take the fun out of it?

Remember walking from Cadgwith to Kennack sands with a cat for company along the sw coast path, beautiful part of the world.
