I think they're too big sounding, they suck up all the frequencies in a mix for me... I found this out on a live record I was on a couple of years back, other guitar was a P90 equipped SG into a TS into a Selmer Zodiac, YOU CANNOT HEAR ME!!! 😂
I've never liked them, never liked the Rat either!! Also not a Muff fan, muddy shite!!?

Lot of TS backlash at the mo. I used to rely for on one to make the guitar (tele through a SF fender amp) cut though in a loud three piece. Found that whenever I tried a less mid humpy pedal the guitar just disappeared. Remember one gig at the Purple Turtle in Camden binning off my new OD3 and switching back to a TS9 mid-gig. I’ve just recently gone back to having one on the board. I always find them anaemic at bedroom levels but great as pushing edge-of-breakup amps (especially fender mid scooped style ones) into the sweet spot.
