If you know or can find a sympathetic builder you could probably get it for free
Oddly enough, was talking to a neighbour who likes a bit of camping and he had been to the building site behind his workplace and liberated a load of what the builders were calling offcuts but was enough for about 3 or 4 groundsheets.

I was thinking more along the lines of having a tent floor that was more durable and didn't need the tarp base added. But perhaps it's a packing thing - keep them separate so they pack down into smaller packages?
