  • How does a claim work with Laka?

    Crashed a couple of days ago for the first time since having an insurance iwth them, have yet to assess the damage on the bike, but potentially broken a shifter and bent the mech hanger. Do they need to assess the damage somehow (eg LBS) or just send pictures? Do they offer a compensation first or you simply get replacement refunded?

  • You have to record a short video describing the damage and upload it to the website. Couldn’t have been easier when my partner had half the parts stolen off her bike. When Evans said they couldn’t get a replacement fork for her Pinnacle, Laka wrote it off and ordered her a new bike of her choice from any supplier. Even allowed her to top up the cost beyond the insured value.
