• Yep I’m in, just finalising which ones but will grab 2 x rims, prob AR465 disc.

Does anyone know what happens with the lifetime warranty on a group buy?

  • I’m either getting two widish 700c disc rims for cross or built wheels. Just chatting to them about hun availability.

  • Question in regards to import duty/tax. If we do get stung how is it worked out is it a lump sum or is it split more to the value of your order in the group?

  • My understanding is all the taxes are included in the shipping cost

  • I didn't have to pay supplementary tax on mine, not sure how it works in big batches..

  • Import duties are not AFAIK. We lucked out last time with no duties, but it could happen.

  • Anyone know what hubs Hunt use? I can't be arsed reindexing gears when I swap wheels so may buy the same hubs and some LB rims to build up

  • Bitex, I think.

  • I know my friend had some rim brake carbon hunts which I was pretty sure had hubsmith hubs

  • Noticeable differences between Standard and Flyweight versions of the same rims?

  • I'd guess my disc wheels are bitex as @snoops said then as they centerlock and Hubsmith doesn't seem to offer centerlock.

The sales person seems to indicate I can get group buy pricing solo... lets see. Two rims and a built rear wheel request is pushing my luck

  • Possibly

Though there are some. Can't say for sure though

  • Yeah that’s what I thought from what I read previous. I’ve no problem paying but I’d like to figure out if we did get stung how it’s worked out as I don’t want to pay the same as someone who’s getting a wheel set 3x the price of what I’ve ordered

  • It is % of value, no? That is how the charges (duty and VAT) are calculated.

  • correct. LB are happy to mark down the value though

  • Flyweight rims are a good chunk lighter and have a sexy glossy unpainted finish. However they have a 90kg weight limit.

  • Fail on my part then... need to work out how to identify the hubs I guess

  • Arup did a set for me last year without holes. I don't think it was painless on his side but the result was perfection as usual...

  • I'd be tempted to save some postage if poss on a trispoke, not sure if it contributes to the 30 rim count though

  • Yeah but not if we've got a group buy it isnt.

  • Interesting... if you guys are doing a group buy, I can piggyback it and pay extra postage for it to be delivered to me here. I'd be looking for 2 rims and a complete rear wheel if that helps...

    2x AR45 disc rim
    1x R55 rear wheel

They tell me that'll count as 3 rims for the order

    1. giofox 2xAR35 - (optional details: Hook, Disc, 32H, Matte UD With Access Holes, No decal)
    2. leggy_blonde - 1x R65 (Hook, Disc, 24H, Matte UD, with holes, no decal). 2x R55T (Disc, Matte UD 24H, with holes, no decal)
    3. atz - 2x AR45 disc rim. 1x R55 rear wheel

    That's already 8 rims, 22 to go

  • Why wouldn't everyone pay their own duty and vat?

  • Thanks, I'll get on to Arup
