It is pretty funny, and he's obviously made a fairly serious error with that contract. It's hard to sympathise with him much, but I wonder if there'll be some new Bosman type ruling at some point. I guess it'd have to come from a much lower profile player rather than one who's on millions per year anyway.
It doesn't seem reasonable that someone effectively be forced to work for someone they don't want to, and whose (clubs) ambitions and goals don't seem to match theirs (Kane's). Do these kind of contracts exist outside sport beyond notice periods and gardening leave?
