It's not unusual for there not to be much information about rural crashes, owing to the likely absence of witnesses, and this one may not have been witnessed. That hamrack saw a rider waving people away suggests that someone came across the scene not too long afterwards, but it may never be known what exactly happened. That the rider died less than a week later in hospital suggests a severe head injury, but there may be a follow-up article giving more details.
