  • there are some truly honking kits around this year

  • Glad I didn’t finish work in time to make it to Rodney Parade

  • I was hoping that result would have dominated the headlines rather than ours but I realise that being beaten 6-0 by a team three places above us is a bigger story.

    Boom!

  • Benjamin Mendy >>>>>>

With that and the Everton arrest pending a charge, it seems like there's still a really seedy underbelly to professional football.

Obviously he has a right to a fair trial but 4 separate charges from different individuals is pretty damning.

  • THat's grim.

Anyway - CR7 to Man City seems like it might be a thing. That'll be 'interesting'.

  • if i were RS7 i'd be a bit worried

  • champions league draw on now

  • Group A: Man City, PSG, RB Leipzig, Club Bruges

Group B: Atletico Madrid, Liverpool, Porto, AC Milan

Group C: Sporting Lisbon, Borussia Dortmund, Ajax, Besiktas

Group D: Inter Milan, Real Madrid, Shakhtar Donetsk, Sheriff Tiraspol

Group E: Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Benfica, Dynamo Kyiv

Group F: Villarreal, Man Utd, Atalanta, Young Boys

Group G: Lille, Sevilla, FC Salzburg, Wolfsburg

Group H: Chelsea, Juventus, Zenit St Petersburg, Malmo

  • Pochettino Tiraspol, please.

I thought we had established that.

  • Speaking of rape allegations...

  • another proud moment for r harry as he leads his team out in the europa conference league tonight, it's moments like this he'll look back on fondly when he's retired

  • Justifying that decision now

  • one more and he'll have a ball in his cabinet to remember this great night with

  • and make the fans forget all about this summer's nonsense
he's always been a spurs man, how dare you question his commitment.... so much so he's trying to re negotiate his recently signed 5 yr (?) contract to get another £100k per week and get a release clause inserted

    good luck with that

  • knocked out of Europe later this month

  • 6 years I believe..

    Below from the Times..

...and found the prospect of Kane’s 32-year-old brother taking on their master negotiator as highly amusing.

  • It's a shame they didn't end up against PSG as there's only enough room for one sheriff in this draw.

  • Wow - what a brilliant and absurd story.

  • It is pretty funny, and he's obviously made a fairly serious error with that contract. It's hard to sympathise with him much, but I wonder if there'll be some new Bosman type ruling at some point. I guess it'd have to come from a much lower profile player rather than one who's on millions per year anyway.

It doesn't seem reasonable that someone effectively be forced to work for someone they don't want to, and whose (clubs) ambitions and goals don't seem to match theirs (Kane's). Do these kind of contracts exist outside sport beyond notice periods and gardening leave?

  • West Ham in with Genk, Dinamo Zagreb, Rapid Vienna.

  • Great away games if you’re allowed to travel there.

  • celtic with leverkusen, betis, and ferencváros.

  • I know, if there wasn't a pandemic I would certainly be looking at a Zagreb awayer.
Not in this world situation though
