Should we start a list for a LB potential forum order then?
Just state what you would be interested in and I can ping them a quick list for a quote, that 30% discount sounds appealing.- giofox 2xAR35 - (optional details: Hook, Disc, 32H, Matte UD With Access Holes, No decal)

That 30% is unlocked when your order hits 30 rims +, It's also only on Pro Series Rims. Apparently it's the same level of discount they give shops and wheel builders.

Who is it so I can look and see if they do rims to what Im after and add to the group buy!
-
• #9489
Who do people get to build LB rims up, or do you all do them yourselves - ie are they reasonably easy for a relatively inexperienced wheelbuilder such as me?
I'm thinking of getting another set. They would be for a tandem and Edwin at LB has confirmed that they can do some slightly beefier ones for that. But they don't have any tandem hubs so I'd need to get them built here.

I went with Arup. I know quite a few from the last group order went with Martin (Arkane wheelworks), I've since had another non-LB set built up by him and it's been great.
No idea if they're easy to DIY.

Any more interest?
@andyfallsoff
@snoops
@boomboom
@swedeeeKeen to get a large list to see what discount they will offer, then can remove a few if people are unsure, although doubt we'll reach 30 rims this time

Do they ship to each person separately or to one person who then ships out?
-
• #9493
They ship to one person who then has to co-ordinate collection / delivery. One person also has to manage the order with LB and pay them on behalf of everyone else.

• #9494
Ah okay. Am out then. The faff of getting them from the UK to EU isn’t going to be fun for anyone.
-
• #9495
Yes, I'm interested. I need to order fairly soon though as I need them for October. Would like to join if the timing works.
-
• #9496
Thanks.
Another question - did you go with access holes, or was he ok to build them without? I'd rather not have the holes if avoidable, but realise it might make the build harder.

I build mine myself. They're pretty easy to build. They tend to be both straight and round, which makes building them fairly easy. I've done about 8 pairs of LB wheels so far.

• #9498
are you getting wheels or just rims? think i'd want complete builds... i think that may delay/complicate things though. i will do some maths can get back to you

It's a real PITA building the rims without spoke holes in the rim bed. But I've managed it, so a wheel-building god like Arup should have no problems.

I went with, for no other reason than I didn't know any better. I'm sure Martin would be fine to build up wheels without access holes, just drop him a line, he's sound. I'm sure he's on here but can't recall what he goes by.
Been loving my 650b LBs this summer too. Keen to join a group buy for some 29er rims.
