The caliper brake version has a straight fork, no matchy rack though. Here's mine

I mean at this point they were basically the same people, sharing engineers and offices were adjacent and all that.

I've bought a Wald 137 and I'm thinking of mounting my dynamo light on the front with a P-clamp. How bad of an idea is that? My local hardware store sells these with a nut on them, I'm thinking I'll clamp this onto the upper rail flip the mount on my light. See attached sketch (probably not to scale).

I have a battery light mounted on my Wald, it works but could be better.
Could work in your case dependant on weight of the light. How are you planning on mounting the Wald? The standard Wald struts?
I would see if you can't space the light out a bit and mount it onto the strut holes.Mounting it on the rail could induce floppyness or jiggle while riding.
And you'd need a really small p-clip for the rails to generate enough clamping force. -

I used a long bolt and but, could of big washers and a bit of metal tube to make a light holder attached to one of the struts. I think someone did something similar with a camera film tube and a small nut and bolt.
Those basket tubes are so small that you couldnβt really mount anything to them
Good photoshop effort tho

Thanks both, sadly that makes a lot more sense. I was hoping for a sort Spirit of Ecstasy on a Rolls vibe, but that's not very functional anyway.

In the past I've made a light mount a piece of steerer and a star nut.
However in your case, I would use a disc brake mount spacer and attach it to where ever you want on the strut. I've done this on a few bikes, its rock solid and gives you good adustablity for setting the angle

Brilliant, I should have loads of those in a box somewhere.
And the previous incarnation
