Agreed. Definitely one of the longer/lower 56cms on the market going by the geo charts. Those reach/stack dims are pretty mad/agressive for a gravel bike tbh. And that's before the slack-ish seat tube angle wants to sit you further back, too.
Can understand OP's comments regarding reach with the current flat bar set-up, though. + price seems sensible given condition.
I was trying to be subtle but that was clearly lost - the reach on a surly is as long / longer than road race bikes known for having particularly long reach geometry; advising someone to size up generally isn’t sensible with a bike, regardless, as you can always make a smaller frame ‘bigger’ with longer stem/stack/post etc but you cannot make a bigger frame smaller.
Especially one that already has a longer reach than most bikes.
