Hi everyone,
There's a strong chance you'll be aware of the awful death of Marta Krawiec earlier this month on a junction in Holborn, on Theobolds Street and Southampton Row.
Marta is the 7th person to be killed on the Holborn Gyratory since 2008 and we are sick of protesting this injustice.
We're asking you to turn up with yourself, and as many others as you can find, to make it clear that this is intolerable on a protest ride which will convene at Silk Street, opposite the Barbican Entrance, from 5:30PM leaving at 6:00 PM. Our route which will be stewarded by volunteers will incorporate several of these known dangerously badly designed junctions.
Your support with getting this protest out there and mobilising as many people as you can would be deeply appreciated. It would also be really helpful to have your name on our open petition to the Mayor, TFL and London Councils but of the two the protest is by far the most important.
Photos are from our last protest in 2018 which shockingly was on the same issue and in the same place. Campaigners have protested on a 'die-in' basis last Friday, which helped gain a statement from TFL and Camden Council, but we want to build as big a turnout as possible so that this issue is firmly on the public agenda.
Any questions please stick them here and we'll do our best to respond.
