Yeah I intend to use it for events/summer/good weather only. I actually built it for the Etape (or at least used that as an excuse as the CAAD10 was getting on a bit), which got cancelled. Would've been the best route so far I'd say but turns out was raining that day anyway. I've a sturdy winter/disc/gravel bike for everything else.
That CAAD12 looks great.
Hate to say it though, but if its just brushed alloy, it will oxidise quite quickly without regular upkeep to the finish. Even clear coated raw alloy is susceptible to oxidisation. Make sure you never leave any moisture sitting on the frame, and give it a good polish after every ride to try and avoid the finish going dull and white.
