Never seen that before. Hilarious
How do these seemingly inept people get to where they are? I get the boys club of Oxford or Cambridge but that seems to be the biggest root of the problem.

A scam alert.
last Friday I received a call on my mobile from Germany.
I had enought to do, so chose not to answer it.
(I have had dealings with German companies in the past, but not the recent past).
The call was identified as Langenselbold, which is near Hanau. I've never visited Hanau,
but there are few large German companies with HQs there.
This morning another call came in from Germany*.
I answered. The couple of beats before the recorded message cut in, gave the game away.
I'm being investgated for suspicious transactions by the National Crime Agency.
Unless I dialled '1', my assets will be seized, my National Insurance number will be blocked and I will be arrested.
Anybody else on this scammers list?
(*Supposedly from Inchenhofen). -

So what happened when you dialled '1'? I know you did, because you clearly haven't been arrested.
-
• #65834
That’s ITN. I think tw@tter has it wrong. Not about the anti-vaxx fuckwits though…
Maybe they’re such fuckwits they ended up in the wrong place?

Above post was typed in the dungeon of Schloss Langenselbold.
I was on a rendition flight from RAF Northolt before I knew it .... -

Trade envoys are a network of parliamentarians drawn from across the political spectrum, who are appointed by the prime minister. They are unpaid, voluntary roles.
Didn’t realise the last parts.

I thought paying your nation insurance was meant to protect you from threats such as the germans.
-

They are unpaid, voluntary roles.
With absolutely no kickbacks whatsoever, I'm sure.

Don't forget he's a life peer (Baron Botham of Ravensworth).

I was on a rendition flight from Ruislip International Airport before I knew it ....
Fixed.

The perks when they travel overseas for business are damn good. Entire embassies mobilise for a trade envoy, and they stay at posh hotels, ‘network’ at expensive restaurants above the prescribed ‘reasonable personal expenditure’, travel by private transport, etc etc. One hopes they are actually effective at increasing trade.

Don't tempt fate.
Every couple of years, some Commercial genius or other notices the proximity of Northolt Aerodrome to Heathrow and proposes its use for 'overspill' or 'regional flights', with a coach/light rail link between the two.

Perhaps we could get Prince Andrew to give us a resume of his time as a 'trade envoy'?

Now, let me think, why did I post that again? Ah, yes ...

He trafficked that kid to London does that count as international trade?
-
• #65847
Such a fucking odd lawsuit. The guy lived for / lived off that picture for years, doing loads of interviews and other things. Seems he got the cold shoulder from Nirvana re: a recent art show of his so he's suing them.

Does that mean anyone with a copy of the album is a nonce?
-
• #65849
If the album cover is found to be a child abuse image then yes, everyone with a copy is a criminal for which possession is enough to convict. Sex offender register for life for 1.8 million people.

What happens if you have two copies?
Asking for a friend.
Whatever you think of Blair, that's a flawless analysis imo.
