I’m probably being a bit thick here, but how do I email a book to my kindle?

On my Paperwhite:
(Three lines in the top right)
Settings
Device options
Personalise your Kindle
Send-to-kindle email

Here it has A @kindle.com email with my name and some numbers.
Fairly sure I emailed myself some PDFs years back, but that was on a keyboard 3g one.
