But it's fading caused by UV light and only a type or range of UV light within the spectrum?? AD spotlights won't give off any UV light. I'm sure watch brands would be specific on that even if they did.

That is true , I do bring two watches to work and change them at lunchtime. only sometimes though . Doesn't everybody do this?

Yeah, how strong are those lights? I have a Seiko samurai Pepsi bezel... It's been used in Australian summers (surfed in) almost daily for around 4 years now and there is only a slight fade to the red.
