Is the bezel aluminium?
Mr muscle oven cleaner should fuck it up in short order if it's aluminium (as in etched and then a puddle of goop).
what's the finish? Anodising, paint, ceramic? If ano, then a UV bulb might fade it.
Ceramic, it would be fun to see if heating with a gas torch then plunging into ice water would crack the finish like spider web. -

If you want to age the lume on the dial stick it in the oven. I think its for a longer time frame than you would think, this post will give you an idea if you scroll through to the others as well:

I also agree that oven cleaner would demolish the bezel rapidly.

That actually look good witjjou the bezel, like a combination of Unimatc and Brando.

That's pretty much the best watch in the thread.

Did it have a redial at some stage?
-
• #57359
Yup, it also show you don’t need to go crazy on the yellow to recreate it with the the BB58 or just leave it alone.

Is it this one? Seems like a decent price for a full set. Still way over what I’d like to pay for that watch.

This is the best watch on the thread. And I don't really like Tudor or Rolex.
-

The bb58 will never go yellow like that because the lume doesn’t have tritium. Another reason why that faux-job is so awful

I am definitely NOT doing Mr Muscle. I'd like to simply fade the black not liquidise it.

This bezel faded due to spending too much time under those lights ADs have. I don’t think it looks great to be honest, not sure why. Maybe few scratches would “bring it to life”?

Yeah, shirley light treatment the way forward?
Like a UV lamp or a few hours down the sunbeds.

When I bought Soul's Ocean One it came with a spare green bezel for the Hulk look. I have no plans to swap it out, ever. Happy to part with it to fuel your
madnessboredom alleviations projects. -

I wonder if too much UV light can degrade the lume?
-
• #57371
I actually like that, it’s good to know mine will fade like that.
-
• #57372
Yeah I was not really interested in the lume.
I think the naturally worn dials look a bit shit / tired / rusty tbf.
More into the faded bezel on fresh lume.
-
• #57373
Surely this can't just be AD light?? Even with natural sunlight that would take years to fade to that level.

Fair enough just doesn't make sense to me as it's still a fairly new release, could it really have been sat in there that long? Also confused as when you pop in Harrods to see the limited edition, I'm guessing they keep the same watch in the case for display purposes if customers want to take a look to place an order and doesn't make sense to keep putting a new one in there for people to handle but the bezel is completely fine. That must have been sat in the display for a longgg time??
So some exciting news...
Left it in hot water and....
