    How many people are you cooking for on a daily basis?

  • i think mine last about 16 years on average (guessing). The big end grain ones seem pretty much indestructible.

    A couple of the side grain ones split where they were glued together after lots of years.

  • I've got a board that was made to flip over and cover the sink in my parents kitchen. Big crack down it for over a decade, but still hasn't split.

    When I get a new kitchen I can design I'm definitely getting the thick professional kitchen boards.
