We should start an ejay challenge.
"What do you have this week for under £500 in bronze on a strap."
or
"What have you got for under 1k in steel on a bracelet" -
• #57231
Not from new no, but I traded an omega for it when it was nearly new .
I wore it everyday, work , swimming , cycling , sailing , broke the crystal once ( very expensive repair ) it was not far short of what the watch was worth then .
I’ve had a new bracelet, I even experimented with a Rolex black bezel to look more submariner like .
I put the old faded one in it’s box , after a year or so I was told I should get it out and back on as faded was cool .
Tbh it’s my favourite watch , the only real sentimental value one , but because of its present day value I don’t wear it everyday anymore .
Perhaps I should ?
Mind you I’ve had fun getting into watches and buying into other much cheaper brands and not worrying about a scratch . -

I quite like the article about the "Willard" and raise a good point about the history that is overlooked behind it.

How's the value proposition?
-
• #57235
Yeah.
SNK 809 with a turtle dial, dome crystal, white date wheel and hacking seconds movement. -
• #57236
Thanks.
The lack of a minute track really improves the legibility for me.

Looks alright, but $3800! Shit a brick. Are those folded end links…?!

Plain green dial though? It's no anOrdain...
"Look… no date window!" - who cares!
-
• #57239
No applied markers
Flat stamped hands
Basically no real finishingIt looks like a nice £1500 watch. I assume the price is to recoup the cost of developing the movement, which seems fairly unexceptional (also no real finishing) apart from having two massive barrels to get the 120 hour power reserve.

It looks like a nice £400 Seiko

I was allowing for the fancy movement… but in some ways, yes. There's some good bits though. The dial layout and proportions are really nice.

I was in two minds about that. Hacking seconds don't make as much sense without the minute track.
I like the look though. -

Wouldn't bother me particularly, all things considered.
I recently bought a Ray Mears, but it's not quite what I was expecting: a touch small perhaps, which makes it feel a little crowded?
Or maybe I should get some specs 🤓

Green OP is cool. Shame the grey markup is ridiculous.

Have we done lume shots before? Photo doesn't do the Pelagos justice, it is bright!

One of the best lume signatures evah.
Love this watch so much.
I have a soft spot for Omegas, already have 2, but could definitely see me adding one of these as my next purchase.
