Keep one of the Kona. If it doesn't work out in a month or so you will know. You can then re consider.

I love my Brompton so much, it would be the last bike I'd get rid of. Its a H3 so possible that a H6 would be more practical as an only bike.....but.....i do find the ride enjoyable anf have done a few NcN offroad routes , some 100k rides and have toured on it. Go find your nearest good dealer and take one on an extended test ride.

Cycling anywhere with hills is no fun on a Brompton, even with lower gearing. It is a cheerful bike in flatter cities, but the frame is more flexible and inefficient than a full-size bike. I also find that a lot of vibration gets through the small unsuspended front wheel. I would recommend you also try out a Moulton (their TSR range is more affordable), which has a stiffer frame, is fully suspended, and separates so it can be carried on public transport.

Suggested elsewhere as well, but try and find a nearby Brompton locker and rent one for a day to see how it fits in with what you want. At most major stations into/out of London I think now. https://www.bromptonbikehire.com/
Hi,
I've not visited here in a long while, not been using my bikes much either but it's a long story.
I'm about to move to a smaller flat which is 2nd floor. Space is limited for keeping one bike let alone 2 (currently have a Kona Paddywagon and a Kona MTB).
I'm loathe to sell either but realistically I will need to, or sell both and buy a Brompton (ideal for storing in the flat and can use it for the journey to the station when going into the office), but I've never ridden one and don't know how viable they are as an 'everyday' bike?
I'm moving to the South Coast so thinking I will start getting out on the bike more often to cycle along the coast, but mostly the bikes are used for running about and exercise, not long rides.
Any advice/suggestions on what to do are welcome!
Cheers.
