Overheard at the LFGSS golf club bar

What about inside car/motorbike alternators, inside car/motorbike starter motors and certain car/motorbike battery cabling?

What would you prefer to see scotch locks or soldered joints with proper heat shrunk covers.

Don’t know about 12V but all the high voltage connectors when converting a car to electric drive get crimped and if screwed in a plug a crimped sleeve gets added.

I object to this. A Smihs Everest costs less than half the price of a stock build Dolan Pre Cursa. Hardly a golf club statement purchase.

Then again nobody tries to gold plate their track bikes on here so maybe it's a good point.

A bicycle is essential; a wristwatch mere frippery. You can't compare the two. Nor their n+1 tendencies. Obviously.

My favourite for a while.

Due to the Pandemic it’s been a year since I’ve had a chance to get to my holiday home in France .
We left via aeroplane to Italy to avoid quarantine and having arrived by car , it means we left an old Volvo on the drive .. it doesn’t look too bad tbh but obviously won’t start .However my hidden watch rolls had kept my favourites safe….
