Right, I see, for a moment I thought something related to the injection.

They do what they can.

I think I saw this in a WSB race last week or similar. Adjusting the brakes at 180+mph - rather good skills 😀
-
• #18106
Yeah, but I don't really get it, and if you see that vid he is adjusting it quite a few times. I can understand in a race where the heat brings down the density of the fluid and so the lever, but not so many times.

Who knows? He may be a fussy chap!!!
You would be better looking at vids of the CBX and listening to the music! That’s what I am up to now 😀 and buying lottery tickets 😀😀 -

I can feel it wobble when riding.

New bike week, had a break of over 10 years from owning one. Last bike was r1200gs
Thought I wanted a st1300, then fjr1300, then vfr800… somehow ended up buying a speed triple!

I don't know much about motorbikes, but I spotted this spotless Honda outside a pub in Northumberland today that appears to have an in-line 6 cylinder engine - of interest to the thread?

Of much interest to me!! I have been ogling these for years and have recently mentioned it on the thread. That Lola mint too!!
Thanks for sharing the pics. Now to check the lottery!! -
• #18114
Cool, to be honest I had no idea 6 cylinder bikes were even a thing. What is the Lola you refer to?
-
• #18115
Ha. Typo! Looks mint!!! It’s a CBX - I want a Moto Martin version of it - lottery win permitting. Have a look on YouTube for CBX and the exhaust note - amazing.
There are a few six cylinder bikes - CBX, Benelli Sei and Kawasaki Z1300 - the CBX is the one I want. (Dreaming on) -

Hello motorcycle people!
Quick newb question….. I’m considering getting a little 50cc scooter/moped (what is the preferred term!?) for commuting, as want to minimise use of my big planet killing Discovery, and just use it for long trips/load carrying. Have had full regular driving license for 20 odd years….. am I right in thinking I still need to do the CBT test to ride a 50cc scooter? Will I have to have L plates attached forever unless I do a full big boy motorcycle test?
Soz for the total newb question. I know nothing about motorised two wheels.

Have had full regular driving license for 20 odd years
Worth checking exactly how many years. Not 100% but I think if you got your licence before 1999 I don't think you need a CBT for a 50cc as it will have been included in your licence. Have a look on the back of your DL.
If you need to do a CBT you may as well buy a 125cc as they're more powerful. You're in the West Country right? Idk how a 50cc will do on hills, even if it's a modern one.
But yeah without a full license you will have to redo it every couple of years and have L plates.

Also worth saying that a full license is going to be close to £1k, so even if you're paying £100 for a CBT every two years that's 20yrs.

17th birthday was in 2000, so looks like I’m a year short! 😩
Thanks for the info. CBT it is. Are bikes provided for CBT?
I would like to get full license at some point, and move on to bigger bikes, but think little 50cc nipper will do for my needs until I’m a bit more confident.

I also really want a little Honda Ruckus/Zoomer, which are 50cc only in this country as far as I’m aware….
-
• #18122
Yeah bikes are provided. I actually did my 2nd* on a Ruckus/Zoomer and was gutted when I found out that you can't get bigger ones here. They're awesome little things with such cool storage.
*1st expired before I got round to doing my full licence.

They are available as imports but very expensive. Big Ruckus is the 250cc version. The price shot up a few years ago, they were one of the few bikes that would have suited what I do and the engines are supposed to be bulletproof.

Fuck.... I'm now going down an Internet rabbit hole trying to work out whether I want a gy6 engine swap or to bore out to 125 ....
All day dreaming and just before I go to bed too 8|

I think though I'm not certain, that you may only have to do the CBT once if you're happy on a 50cc and wouldn't need Ls. You'd have to renew for a 125

Edit: meant to reply to @hoops sorry
Get it looked at by a tyre shop! I had ‘issues’ with a front tyre and I’m lucky to be typing about it now.
