Ran past you earlier on the canal by the bit with the motocross lads doing wheelies on the other side

Hi mate - I saw you! Only realised it was probably you by the time I was past. Was pretty distracted by the wheelies.
Looking at moving your way. Are you pretty much by Forest school? We are looking a bit further up towards the forest.

Haha same - was busy admiring the bike also. Looking good.
Yup, that’s where we are. Love it round here - plenty of routes out into pretty solid nature. Was a bit worried we were too far out but that’s not the case. If you’ve any spots in mind let me know as I’ve spent a lot of time running round varies bits 🙂

After some small mods, the original segmented fork may be going back on this. It was never resprayed after frame repairs and is still olive drab. Spray it the same as the frame, or go for pink for that vintage Geekhouse vibe?

pink gets my vote

Still waiting for the sunlit uplands of duty free US imported frames.

Upgraded to r8000 levers finally. Need to get to a cross race now. Happy to free cycle the 6800 levers to anyone who might have a use for them - the shifting is dodgy but might be redeemable for someone with the time and skills to solve.

I also dropped the steel fork off for painting. Going for the same colour as the frame.

Looks wicked.
Are you going to race cross in SPD SL shoes? -
• #289
No, but I hate spd pedals and only put them on when I absolutely have too.

Right, steel fork is going back on this soon. Also need mudguards, flat pedals and bar bag.
On mudguards, spring for PDW or just go Bluemels?
Any suggestions on a flat black pedal? I assume they are all basically the same

I'd go bluemels and then get some nicer pedals, I've got both DMR V12 Mags and OneUp they're both nice, the oneups have a nice big platform which is good for bigger feet
I think the frame is a bit lighter, but doesn't seem to ride differently in any noticeable way.
