• I'm still £500 per month down on my earnings thanks to covid. Then in March my girlfriend moved out, which meant I suddenly had to find over £1000 a month more to cover the shortfall in the rent and bills. So basically I can't really afford to live at the moment, let alone put any money into the bags. So it's basically on hold again.
I'm still working on the custom hardware when I get a chance, but surviving is taking priority at the moment.

  • might it be worth considering making some just straight up plain bags, just to get things going and put some money in your pocket? I'm just presuming but if you are down on income from covid that would mean the work not coming in, hence some extra time to make stuff?

I totally get the desire to want to make the absolute best and custom make everything but that can very easily consume a lot of every resource on a project; money, energy, time, enthusiasm to carry on, etc.

you are in quite a unique position as a maker that you have people desperate for your stuff even after years and that people recognise the quality and have a strong desire to buy your gear.

i'm sure there would be a huge amount of demand, enough to get you going and help pay the bills, if you just made a basic bag out of plain cordura and strong enough buckles but made to a high standard still with good build quality but affordable materials with few bells and whistles that will cost you time in making. it might not be the Rolls Royce version you want to produce with everything being the best but it would still be awesome and usable.

would be great to see this up and running again, even if you just made a bunch of back packs or something.
