  • Looks nice.

    But, OSCC.

  • Fancied a change so popped anamoeba tig stem and nitto b127 combo and threw a reynolds 28 mm carbon clincher on the front..?

  • beast....

  • appreciated bud! Think I'm preferring the black front wheel

  • perfect balance, just need sharpie the rear braking surface

  • Got this one back to a simpler setup since moving to Orkney, had been set up with the disc and a Corima 4 spoke front, then a spinergy Rev x front but the winds up here just make that not so fun and really reduced the times I could use it and enjoy it.

  • And here’s where we’re at now.. much preferring the fluted campy cranks. Just picked up a time carbon fork, campag record threadless headset and a 3ttt mutant stem, just waiting for the time fork to arrive for fitting, hoping the bigger rake will increase the clearance under the downtube and fit a tyre bigger than a 20c on, fingers crossed!

  • Looks v clean and classy

    Look fork drilled or undrilled?

  • Thanks so much bud, never really been clean or classy before, much like it’s owner..
new fork is drilled, tempted to pop a basket on but it handles so beautifully I think the extra weight on the front might ruin that.

  • Looks good with the shallow rims. 20c is rough, does the rear have more clearance??

  • Haha yeah, potholes are kind of intimidating on a wheel that skinny! Fortunately you can just squeeze a 25 on the rear. Fork showed up today and looks like I might get a 25c on the front as well.

  • Nice!

  • Haha well I guess it’s more stones and piles of sheep shit on the road rather than potholes up here but still..
I know, quite excited to see! Intrigued whether the change in fork rake will make much difference to the handling?

  • Can't imagine the double-take I'd do if holidaying on Orkney and saw someone skidding around on this. So good.

  • Too windy here today for a good balanced pic but finally got everything together. There’s still some overlap but I expected that, just glad it’s not the entire toe clip any more..
Fitted a 25c tyre and there’s still space under the downtube! Don’t think the fork will allow for much more than that but it doesn’t feel like every stone on the road was intentionally placed there to try and kill me anymore so that’s good. Not a huge fan of the red on the fork but a terribly minor aesthetic issue.
Thanks to @woah for the fork and @.gaz. for the headset.
Love this mutant stem, reminds me of the old decals one may have stolen from the front of a Jaguar as a child.

  • Absolute sucker for an oversized chainring so switched out to a 57t campy I had lying around and a 20t cog on the wheel.

  • Love this mutant stem

+1, looks great. Painting the fork to match the frame could work but then again it might be a fucker to colour/condition match that frame. Think i prefer the old ring though!

  • Agreed - track drop and mutant combo is superb
Fork graphics a little jarring but everything else is spot-on

  • Yeah not sure if I’d ever get the patina looking quite right on it, tempted just to spray it a Matt black or something..?

I think you’re right too looking at the photos I might need to switch back.. something about the inner circle on the smaller ring fits nicely

  • Thank you very much, yeah I really couldn’t be happier with how the cockpit turned out!
I know, and the most frustrating thing is it’s just the yellow time lettering and none of the red or the word sprint on the nds.. wish it was the other way about!

  • Swapped the wheels out with the trackshark I got recently as I think that will be more of an all weather bike and don’t want these profile racing hubs out in the weather too much. Reckon these make the bike look pretty sparkly and prefer how these sit with the time fork.

  • If you're not careful with pics like this you're going to have hordes of aging fixie skidders selling up and moving to Scottish Islands. Looks incredible

  • Haha, what I meant to say was it’s horrible up here and I definitely wouldn’t recommend it, only pics with brick walls in the background from now on!
