He's very rude and confrontational. It's hilarious. If the cops film him back he yells "Who ya filming pussy boy?" I imagine he's white.

The poverty in Philadelphia (and many other US cities) is truly heartbreaking. What the video doesn't show clearly because of the perspective from which it is filmed is that the entire length of that street is under the El, which must have something to do with its state of decay. I haven't done too much reading about US slums, but inequality is definitely worse there than it is here, and it is very bad here.

I spent a little time in Vancouver and the area the locals refer to as "Bumtown" is pretty much like that. On one drive short down the main strip I counted 4 people on my side of the road getting medical treatment for overdosing. I've lived in cities pretty much my entire life but that was something else...

There are hundreds of similar videos from different American cities and they are really shocking - even to an American. A friend of mine who lives in the wealthy part of Charlotte, NC, had been watching some and hadn't really been aware of how dire it is in many places.

I saw several videos last year about how homeless people in the States became homeless. If the average American ever realised how one or two unlucky (but not rare) life events would see them stuck in perpetual homelessness, and how laughingly far away they are from ever being millionaires let alone billionaires, there’d be riots.

But if you just work hard enough...American dream... Greatest country on earth.
