I paid £££ less on ebay (so not a bike forum) for an xl 2018 frame and fork (as new, warranty replacement I think) with 2014 spec 18 months ago and I thought I overpaid. Great bikes, and mine wasn't in as original/good mechanical condition but I think you are a bit off on price

Is the front brake cable really short? If so might want to sort that before someone rides away!

Thanks for your input, will have a scan to re-assess.

Mmm, you know it does look so on the photo! But it’s just the angle of the photo / cable. Thanks for raising though.

+1 on price. You might get £900 on ebay if this was absolutely mint. Get the chain and cogs looking like new and put new brake pads in. On here, I don't think you'll get that much.

450-500 is probably more realistic for a CDF with this spec

Paid £350 for this spec/year recently in similar condition. You're asking 2020 model money, imo.

Thank you for all your perspectives, very interesting and I will take onboard. There is a wide range out there, some are higher and some are lower.
@ lt - FYI, just for the record that us actually a used bike not "brand new"

I mean, it does literally say 'brand new' in the description, and the photos back it up. But sure, ignore the evidence of your own eyes by all means.
Genuinely, best of luck with your sale.

Ah, you may well be right. Mixed messages as the official eBay condition is “used”.

Hi all - So just to close the loop, after no offers on here the bike sold for £590 on eBay. Which is around the mark where similar bikes have been going for lately. Thanks for all your input and suggestions.
Selling my Genesis, croix de fer (52cm) for £900.
Quick notes:
I'm selling it because I bought it with the intent to doing some adventurous cycling after some serious ultra running but I did the Rate Race Coast to Coast and then... the single speed and subsequently brompton took over and I stuck to running. A bike like this really should see some proper action so moving it on.
Any questions let me know!
