Yeah, either down into Castle Hill or there's a path along the top of Balsdean.

Ah yes, that top path is a good one too. I'd forgotten about it.

Sorry to interrupt the tag. We all love where we live (I hope).
Please have a read of this as part of the South Downs is under threat. Of you are opposed then leave a comment on the council page linked.
Thanks -

Thx! Will read and comment.

Thanks. Things have to be bad when even Maria Caulfield is opposed to it.

Done. I just filled in section (or question) 3.2 and make it clear that I thought the whole "new town" proposal was a total disaster.

Is it this one at the end of Hove lawns?

I went a little bit further west to try and find one with a rusty left arm

I think you've got it! I was wondering about that left arm... but couldn't see the tag photo properly in bright evening sunlight.
Your tag, sir!

@sea-level 's knowledge of Brighton seems almost encyclopaedic so I thought I'd try a different tack. In my head it would be down to transects of where the windfarm lined up but you could barely see it in the photo.
I wasn't expecting @Retro_bastard to ride along and look at every single bench to find the identifying features (I didn't even think to consider that the benches would have identifying features!)
Back to the drawing board.

I was actually in the wrong place then. Too far west. I should have checked more thoroughly for rust š it's tricky along there on a nice evening as most benches had people sitting on them and i was already getting some funny looks rolling along there on my bike eyeing up benches as its a no cycles area and it was busy. My guess was along this stretch. I can't work out how to highlight the bench but it was right around where the road changes from dark to light.

The rusty left arm!! Such a gift!
A great tag often contains unexpected clues like this. I maintain that @Retro_bastard 's recent tag could be found by the reflection of the house opposite alone...

It looked like the same bench to me as well. I'll bring a better camera next time and come up with some more fiendish clues. Maybe something time sensitive to do with tides. Just for @sea-level.

Lol. At least you found a rusty left arm, so I think it counts. Although the complete absence of stones in your photo was a bit suspicious.
Onwards!!
You may be pleased to know that despite his almost encyclopaedic knowledge of Brighton (too kind; too kind), sea-level currently has no idea where RB's latest tag is!

I worked out how to highlight what i thought was the bench in my photo š
If my last tag doesn't get found easily you'll all kick yourselves -
