I thought the goose disparity between US and UK was interesting. We're clearly more afraid these dangerous predators.

But I don't think it'd put up much resistance, one good football kick would see it off

When I was kid my mate's Dad had a big allotment/small holding that he kept geese on, he was showing us round when one went for him, he launched it a good 20 foot by booting it in the chest wearing steel toe caps. The goose didn't even slow down just launched straight back at him and we all had to leg it.

Geese are well padded; you have to hunt them with #4 buck shot because they are impervious to #7 bird shot
