Yeah, I completely agree with this, and I don't think it is fair or sensible. I'm in the opposite boat, and am very happy with the UK government (for once) in that they will recognise the EU COVID passport. It means I can come back to England and see my folks for the first time in almost two years, (and pickup my new Fairlight bike, but that is obviously secondary).
What I meant was that adding the extra complication of the US, and I assume not even having a UK Covid passport (or whatever the equivalent is called), is an extra complexity that maybe isn't the biggest priority.
Yes and no.
I'm in France (arrived yesterday) and am double jabbed in the UK / have an NHS covid pass.
I can't go to any restaurants or some shops / venues like swimming pools because the French app won't accept the UK QR codes.
That doesn't feel like an edge case considering the number of people planning to or currently holidaying in France from the UK.
